Happy 4th of July!!! This past weekend went by way too fast. Our family from Nebraska came to town on Friday and we had a blast. There is nothing like fun times spent with the people I love the most to get me out of any funk I may be in. Due to the drought we've had all firework celebrations were cancelled. I was a little upset because I was looking forward to seeing Makenna's reaction now that she's older but we still made the best of it. We played games (Guessture & Catch Phrase), did some shopping at The Domain, BBQ and of course consumed LOTS of alcohol. That is usually what happens when we all get together. I was able to get some pool time in which was refreshing and miserable at the same time. I did not want to be seen in a swim suit. We also had to have Mexican food at least once every day they were here. Since they are from Nebraska that is a staple they are not privileged too like we are. Oh and to make it worse my mom kept a full house of desserts. Ugh! I feel like a complete Fat Ass! Lol…not that I didn’t know I’m huge already but stepping on the scale today and realizing I’ve gained 4lbs since my last weigh in really has me upset. It’s crazy to me how fast I can gain when I stop watching what I’m eating. I’m pretty sure I will always have to count calories and exercise no matter what size I get down to. My genetics SUCK!!!
Time to get my butt back to the gym and back on a healthy diet. I’ve slacked off so much lately and I really don’t want to continue down this path. I’m signing back up with SparkPeople and getting on a routine with Gold’s Gym as well. I saw pictures of myself that we took while family was in town and I was disgusted! I know I need to set my goals so I’ve decided that I’d like to be down 50lbs by December. Honestly as long as I watch what I eat and put in time at the gym this should be a piece of cake being that the heavier you are the faster you drop your weight. Wish me luck with this guys. Once I have the link for my homepage on SparkPeople I’ll let everyone know so you can see my progress.
